Syllabus -

1) Basic rules of bridge - 1x

Familiarization with equipment, bridge terminology, basic rules of the game of bridge explained during the play

2) Basic techniques of card play - 1x

Acquiring tricks based on card distribution, evaluation of chances and choosing the best option

3) Partnership agreements in defense - 1x

Creating of “code” system to gather more information for decision making

4) Exchanging information before the card play - the bidding 1x

Exchanging information about players hands to set up the right contract. Decision making based on gathering information about hands, comparing the odds against the rewards for making the contract

5) High card point, distributional and trick analysis- 2x

Logical methods which helps to create an overview of the distribution of the cards between players and choosing the best technique for the particular game. Application of normal distribution and probability calculus, use of decision trees.

6) How to play the suits - probability calculus and combinatorics - 2x

Determining the probabilities of card distribution, conditional probability and Bayes statistics used for gathering more information and creating right conclusions, rule of limited selection

7) `Bidding systems - algorithms for determining the - 2x

Creating best algorithms for exchanging key information to find the best contract. Creation of a bidding system - opportunity to create computer programs for practicing created methods and decision trees.

8) Bridge programs and applications - development and practical use - 2x
