Annotation -
This course introduces students to the basics of quantum computing, with a focus on applications in physics simulations. Emphasis will be placed on hands-on exercises, allowing students to implement and experiment with selected quantum algorithms, enhancing their practical understanding of the concepts. A significant portion of the course will be dedicated to variational quantum algorithms (VQAs), which are particularly suitable for current quantum computers. These algorithms are relevant for tackling optimization problems and quantum simulations.
