Then become a member of the DEMOLA team (Demonstration Laboratory), an international innovation platform connecting the academic, public, and private sectors. You’ll spend two months working on innovative projects, collaborating across universities, study fields, and cultures, guided by Finnish supervision and developing future-focused soft skills.

Syllabus

Course Progress:

Companies define topics they don’t have the time or resources to address themselves.
Each topic includes a description that allows for multiple creative directions.

Students register individually for topics:

  • You can register for multiple topics (only one will be selected)
  • Option to register as a team (just name each other)

·         the day for joint meetings – Tuesday afternoon

Preliminary timeline

·         Registration deadline for topics: 1 March.

  • Week of February 16 – Topic selection, registration, Q&A sessions
  • Week of Feb 23 – Break
  • Week of March 2  - Break
  • 11 + 12 March – Kick-off
    • Team meetings, project overview, introduction to the platform
    • Start of team work
    • Two consecutive afternoons, approx. 14:00–17:00
  • Week of March 16 – Role assignment within teams, work on first tasks
  • Week of March 23 – Validation of initial ideas
  • Week of March 30 – Work on a demo version of the future product
  • 7 + 8 April – Mid-term
    • Team meetings, joint progress review
    • Presentation of interim results to representatives of partner organizations
    • Two consecutive afternoons, approx. 14:00–17:00
  • Week of April 13 – Project revision based on feedback
  • Week of April 20 – Validation of the revised idea
  • Week of April 27 – Work on a demo version of the revised idea
  • Week of May 4 – Finalizing the project, preparing the final presentation
  • 13 + 14 May – Final Pitch Fair
    • Preparation day and final presentation day
    • Presentations in front of guests from partner organizations
