Annotation

• Politická geografie a geopolitika - dvě hlavní vývojové fáze geopolitiky - geografie a politické vědy - postavení politické geografie v soustavě geografických věd. Geopolitické teorie a jejich současný význam. Bipolární a multipolární svět a jeho vývoj.
• Politická geografie států a světa - světová jádra moci - teoretická východiska pojmů: stát, národnost a nacionalismus, národní stát, teritorium, suverenita, potřeba udržení legitimity, efektivnosti a výkonnosti národního státu, deviantní formy státu, integrační procesy v současném světě, problematika evropské integrace (EU). Periférie a jejich význam ve světové politice.
• Politicko-geografická témata studia v úrovni vnitrostátní - územní správa a samospráva a problémy jejich reforem -geografie voleb a volebních systémů - pojetí regionálních a lokálních elit. Změny vzdělanosti, kultury a politiky na lokální, regionální a státní úrovni.
