The subject will show several examples of environmental issues important in central European area such as land restoration after mining, agriculture and its environmental impact, protection of biodiversity, eutrofization and acidification of waters, emerging pollutants, and air pollution. Each block will include introduction to some basic subject necessary for understanding the problem, then overview of problem its origin and possible solution. The subject is suitable for students who have at least a basic knowledge of biology and ecology.
