During the field trip the characteristic features of the basic lithotectonic units of the Bohemian Massif and West Carpathians are demonstrated. The first part of the excursion to the Bohemian Massif is devoted to tectonometamorphic and paleotectonic characteristics of the pre-Variscan fundament and the structure of the pre-Variscan and Variscan crust in individual distinguished terranes. During this field major unit of the platform cover are demonstrated. Mechanisms of basin origins, architecture of the basin fills are presented and paleogeographic relations are discussed. The field trip is is designed for students who attended the lecture of Regional Geology for foreign students (MG421P08E). Students cover their own costs of transportation and meals. Estimated costs are approximately CZK 2,000. Substitution of the subject is not possible.

Terénní kurz má formu celkem pětidenní autobusové exkurze, případně dvou exkurzí uskutečněných prostředky hromadné dopravy a pěšky v geologických jednotkách Českého masivu, případně Západních Karpat. Exkurze navazuje na přednášky z regionální a historické geologie a rozvíjí též praktické poznatky získané v přednáškách a cvičeních ze všeobecné geologie strukturní geologie a petrologie. Cílem exkurzí je naučit se základním metodám terénního výzkumu zejména ve vztahu k rekonstrukci geologického vývoje velkých regionálních jednotek Českého masivu a Západních Karpat. Studenti si náklady na dopravu a stravu hradí sami. Předpokládané náklady činí přibližně 2 000 Kč. Není možné náhradní plnění předmětu.

Requirements to the exam -
Condition for the granting of credit is in addition to active participation, submission of final report containing the characteristics of the visited geological localities, structural measurements, interpretative geological sections and drawing of models explaining the relationships of visited units based on literature and their own opinions. The course is planned for the end of May.

Podmínkou udělení zápočtu je kromě aktivní účasti, zpracování závěrečné zprávy obsahující charakteristiku navštívených lokalit, strukturní měření, interpretativní geologické řezy a modely vývoje navštívených jednotek na základě literárních poznatků i vlastních úsudků. Kurz je plánován na konci května.

Na exkurzi jsou presentovány základní litotektonické jednotky Českého masivu, příp. Západních Karpat, jejich vztahy a vývoj. Během exkurze si účastníci na vybraných profilech na kontaktech významných geologických jednotek prakticky vyzkouší identifikovat a dokumentovat základní typy hornin, jejich časoprostorové vztahy, úložné a strukturní poměry, v případě sedimentárních jednotek pak sedimentační prostředí, dynamiku sedimentace, směry paleoproudů atd. Na jejich základě pak zkonstruovat ideový geologický řez a vytvořit vlastní model vývoje území. Výklad na klíčových lokalitách navazuje na přednášky z regionální geologie (MG42108, MG44107) a jiných geologických disciplín. Forma výuky: Pět dní terénních prací, většinou rozdělených na tři dny práce v horninách fundamentu, dva dny pak v jednotkách platformního pokryvu. Požadavky: Podmínkou udělení zápočtu je kromě aktivní účasti, zpracování závěrečné zprávy obsahující charakteristiku navštívených lokalit, strukturní měření, interpretativní geologické řezy a modely vývoje navštívených jednotek na základě literárních poznatků i vlastních úsudků.
