The course is aimed at beginners and pre-intermediate students to learn to speak, understand and write and master scientific terminology. The tradition of contacts between the University of Sorbonne and the UK is a long one - the time since its establishment, the exchange of teachers and students has been intensive to this day. France was available by the founder of modern demography and the knowledge of French to remain important for demography today, allowing students more opportunities to benefit.

Kurz je zaměřen na začátečníky a velmi mírně pokročilé, aby se naučili mluvit, rozumět a psát a ovládli vědeckou terminologii. Tradice kontaktů mezi Univerzitou Sorbonne a UK je dlouhá - trvá od dob jejich založení, a výměna učitelů a studentů je intenzivní dodnes. Francie byla navíc zakladatelkou moderní demografie a znalost francouzštiny zůstává pro demografy dodnes důležitá, studentům dává větší možnost se lépe prosadit.
