Annotation

The lecture deals with use of organic compounds in human pharmacotherapy. The relation between chemical constitution and biological activity is in the centre of aspects discussed. In the first part the basic subjects of general pharmacology (distribution in organisms, kinetic parameters, biotransformation, dose response etc.) are explained. The second one deals with pharmacological groups of therapeutically useful substances. The definition and explanation of common pharmacotherapeutical terms, a survey of pharmaceutics informatics and drug forms are also involved.

Learning outcomes

Po absolvování předmětu student:

Popíše základní lékové formy včetně kódových zkratek, interpretuje zkratky lékových forem.

Vysvětlí strukturu ATC klasifikace léčiv.

Popíše mechanismy účinku a zařadí léčiva dle generických názvů do terapeutických kategorií (ze seznamu léčiv, který je distribuován na přednášce a obměňován dle aktuálního stavu registrovaných léčiv).

Pro vybraná léčiva navrhne postup chemické syntézy, zdůvodní na základě znalostí organické chemie použité postupy, případně doloží správnost postupu srovnáním s publikovanými daty.
