Please note, the lectures are given in Czech language. English version of the course can be requested in advance if there
are at least 2 students. Special excursion is organized according the interests of participants. The excursion is aimed at habitat which are missing in the territory of the Czech Republic, i.e. steps and semi-deserts, inland lakes, coastal habitats, alpine habitats of mountains, Mediterranean habitats, tropical rain forests, etc. Visits of selected zoological gardens abroad may be included. The expenses are not covered by faculty, thus participants are obliqued to cover this (flights, transport, acommodation, food, water, etc.). Last update: Frynta Daniel, prof. It is based on handbooks for identifying birds and other vertebrate species for a given continent. Furthermore, articles in the professional press dealing with topics related to animals and phenomena demonstrated at the excursion. Zahraniční exkurze má následující fixní program:
Upozorňujeme zájemce, že náklady nejsou kryty rozpočtem katedry resp. fakulty. Vyžadujeme proto spoluúčast ve výši, která odpovidá konkretní exkursi. V připadě exkurzí do evropských zoo je to doprava, nocleh a vstupné. V připadě terenních exkurzí letenky, ubytování, doprava na místě, strava a vízaa. V připadě Ázerbajdžánu pak ještě výdaje na pobyt reciproční návštěvy Ázerbajdžánských studentů v ČR. Pro rozpočet konkretní exkurze kontaktujte prosím garanta před zápisem. Identifies and locates representatives of selected vertebrate taxa in their natural environment using modern documentation techniques and field methods. Analyzes the ecological, biogeographical, and vegetation characteristics of specific habitats not found in the Czech Republic. Applies practical methods for animal trapping, abundance estimation, and species determination directly in the field. Interprets observed biological phenomena within the broader context of modern ecology, phylogenetics, and evolutionary biology. Demonstrates the ability to collect biological material and DNA samples in accordance with the ethical and legislative regulations of the visited country. Reflects on the cultural specificities and historical context of the visited regions in relation to nature conservation and landscape management.
