1. Vnitřní organizace buňky, výstavba a funkce buněčných oddílů - buněčná teorie, buňka ve světelném mikroskopu, subbuněčné struktury a kompartmentové uspořádání eukaryotní buňky, srovnání buňky bakterií, archeí a eukaryot, typy eukaryotních buněk, diferenciace buněk mnohobuněčného organismu, typy a stavba virů, interakce s hostitelskou buňkou.
2. Proteiny a jejich funkce v buňce - strukturní hierarchie proteinu, motivy a domény, protein-proteinové a jiné interakce, supramolekulární komplexy - ribosom, proteasom, spliceosom, atd., syntéza a distribuce proteinů v buňce, folding a účast chaperonů, štěpení a modifikace, turnover proteinů.

5. Semiautonomní organely - mitochondrie, chloroplast - stavba, semiautonomie, doklady o původu, podíl na energetické bilanci buňky.
6. Anatomie a funkce buněčného jádra - stavba jádra - jaderný obal, nukleoskelet, organizace genetické informace - chromosom, chromatin, principy uchování a využití genetické, informace, jaderný transport makromolekul.
7. Komunikace mezi buňkami, mnohobuněčnost - typy signalizací - endokrinní, synaptická, parakrinní, kontaktní, receptory - membránové a jaderné, intracelulární přenašeči signálu, molekulární přepínače, signalizační kaskády a jejich integrace.
8. 10. Buňky imunitního systému a imunita - role buněk v systému imunitní obrany, mnohobuněčného organismu, receptory, protilátky, MHC a jiné komponenty, principy aktivace B a T buněk, rekombinace a mutace jako podklad variability imunoglobulinů, klonálnín selekce, zánět.
