Annotation -
Please note, the lectures are given in Czech language only. This course is a comprehensive introduction to the diversity of vascular plants of the Earth in the light of last finding about their evolution and phylogenetic relations. Students will become familiar (during the lectures as well as during a practical exercises) with principal characteristics, reproduction, geographical distribution and typical members of non-flowering vascular plants, gymnosperms and angiosperms. Special attention will be paid to the plants of central European region and important useful plants of the World. This course is also perfect opportunity for the recapitulation of the student?s knowledge of plant morphology, methods, principals, and history of plant taxonomy.
