Annotation -
Please note, the lectures are given in Czech language only.

The aim of the course is to give a comprehensive view of non-vascular plants. The system and phylogeny of non vascular plants are studied, including the different divisions of blue-green algae, algae, bryophytes and fungi (including lichens). Students are mainly made familiar with the morphology of thalli, sexual and asexual reproduction, life cycles, occurence in nature, and significance for humankind. Important members are presented.

Zápočet za zimní semestr získají studenti, kteří splní tyto požadavky:
- účast na praktických cvičeních
- poznávačka objektů z praktika (bezcévné rostliny) - cca 30 min.
- písemný test z přednášené látky (bezcévné rostliny) - cca 30 min.

Common part:
Historical and recent conception of kingdoms. Characteristics of kingdoms: Bacteria, Protozoa, Chromista, Fungi and Plantae. Methods in systematic botany. Scientific names, taxonomical categories. General principles of asexual and sexual reproduction, alternation of nuclear phases, generation changes, life cycles, types of thali. Prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells. Phylogeny. Occurrence in nature, importance, representatives.
Special part:
Bacteria. Cyanobacteria (Cyanophyta).
Protozoa. Acrasiomycota (Acrasida). Euglenophyta (Euglenozoa). Plasmodiophoromycota (Plasmodiophorida). Myxomycota (Mycetozoa). Dinophyta (Dinoflagellata, Dinozoa).
Chromista. Cryptophyta. Labyrinthulomycota. Oomycota. Hyphochytriomycota.
Fungi. Chytridiomycota. Microsporidiomycota (Microsporidia). Zygomycota. Ascomycota. Basidiomycota. Deuteromycetes (Fungi imperfecti). Lichenes.
