Annotation
The lectures will give an introductory overview on the systematics of green plants (green algae and land plants)
and their evolution. Major evolutionary transitions will be highlighted, in particular from the perspective of anatomy
and morphology and the interplay of functional traits with the environment. Practical exercises in plant anatomy
and an „excursion“ to the greenhouse should help to deepen the knowledge gained from the lectures. The lecture
series will be completed by an introduction to plant ecology.
The lecture is intended only for Erasmus students.
