Annotation -
The course is intended for those interested in the basic identification of bryophytes, including nonbryologists (geobotanists, teachers, etc.). During the course, we will familiarize ourselves with basic morphological and anatomical structures important for identification, with basic identification techniques (cross sections, peristome preparation) and further with Czech and foreign identification literature. Subsequently, we will look at some common genera of bryophytes of Central Europe, and possibly also focus in more detail on a specific group of bryophytes. Own material is appreciated. The course only takes place if five or more students register for it and it is held as three days session during the winter exam period.
