The debate on the topic of the dissertation (hereinafter referred to as the "debate") is an important step in the
doctoral studies, when the doctoral student presents the procedures of his/her work to the committee. This debate
is intended to assess the procedures for the development of the thesis topic and the doctoral student's readiness
for independent research activity.

for independent research activity.
Syllabus. It consists of :
A. a description of the dissertation topic (problem identification, formulation of objectives, working
hypothesis);
B. a statement of the methodological procedures (theoretical definition, justification of the choice);
C. introducing the structure of the thesis;
D. a brief critical analysis of the main sources and literature.
The student applies for the debate through the University's Registry Service in the form of a written Request for a
debate on the topic of the dissertation (form). The application is accompanied by the Do-ctoral Dissertation Study.

Rozprava nad tématem disertační práce (dále „rozprava“) je důležitým krokem v doktorském studiu, kdy doktorand
představuje postupy své práci před komisí. Tato rozprava má za cíl posoudit postupy při zpracování tématu práce
a připravenost doktoranda k samostatné činnosti v oblasti výzkumu.
Student po domluvě se školitelem a po schválení oborovou radou připraví a odevzdá elektronicky + písemně
(opatřeno podpisem student /školitel) Studii k disertační práci doktorského studia (v rozsahu cca 4 NMS A4).
Skládá se :
A. z popisu tématu disertační práce (identifikace problému, formulace cílů, pracovní hypotéza);
B. z uvedení metodologických postupů (teoretické vymezení, zdůvodnění výběru);
C. představení struktury práce;
D. ze stručného kritického rozboru hlavních pramenů a literatury.
Student se přihlašuje k rozpravě přes Spisovou službu UK formou písemné Žádosti o rozpravu k k tématu
disertační práce (formulář). Přílohou žádosti je Studie k disertační práci doktorské-ho studia
