The course will present the students the basics of the Greek Etruscan and Roman art. The overview of the
sculpture reaches since the Daidalic style of the orientalizing period to the sculpture of the late antiquity. Not only
the evolution of the votive sculpture, but also the function and role of the architectural sculpture is imphasized. The
course focuses also on the pottery production and the vase painting, which is from the point of the view of the art
history of the irreplaceable significance. The course includes also the introduction to the Etruscan, Macedon and
Roman wall paintings. As regards the little art, the course deals especially with the evolution of the lamp
production, teracotta figurines, jewellery and gem carving.
