The course will focus on the specific position of small states in international relations in general and in the European Union in particular. On concrete examples of small states' behaviour, the students will discuss the concepts suitable for the study of small states, tools and strategies for their interest promotion, coalition-building and relations with large powers, and the role of domestic politics.
