Annotation
The seminar will introduce students to how to design academic research so that it speaks to relevant literature, develops an interesting research question, and presents a persuasive argument.

Upon completing the course students will acquire a basic understanding of the logic of research in social sciences, particularly focusing on qualitative research. Students will understand the relevance of methodology for academic writing and the relationship between methodology and theory. Students will conclude the course by putting their knowledge into action, in the creation of their research project.

This course is a compulsory course for European Politics and Society, Master in Area Studies, and Balkan, Eurasian and Central European Studies. Students from other programmes cannot register in the course due to limited capacity.
