The course deals with the interpretation of key issues in the history of Central Europe in the 20th century, in particular the dynamics of changes brought about by World War II and developing during the Cold War, crisis phenomena in the development of Central European communist regimes, the emergence of independent activities, and the causes of the demise of these regimes.

Kurs se zabývá výkladem klíčových problémů dějin střední Evropy ve 20. století, zejména pak na dynamikou změn vyvolaných k životu druhou světovou válkou a rozvíjejících se za války studené, krizovými jevy ve vývoji středoevropských komunistických režimů, vznikem nezávislých aktivit a příčinami zániku těchto režimů.
