In the winter semester (2024/5) the teaching will take place in the form of full-time.

Anotation

The Diploma Seminar prepares students for developing their own diploma thesis. The students will receive counseling in how to formulate a research questions and develop a project description for their diploma thesis. They will receive insights in tools for gathering information and literature, and gives experience with academic writing techniques.

Goals

Completing the diploma thesis and prepare for its successful defence is the main goal of the course.

 

Descriptions

In the diploma thesis the student must demonstrate the ability to work independently in keeping with academic standards, a knowledge and understanding of the relevant scholarly literature and the ability to analyze the issue under study.
Student will present and comment each other’s project descriptions, revise these with regards to the feedback from fellow students and teacher, before it is submitted for final approval.
The timetable for the consultations is arranged on an individual basis.

 

Course completion requirements

Course assignments:


1. Diploma thesis project presentation

2. Participation on discussions 

3. Delivery comments on the projects of other seminar participants

4. Delivery of the diploma thesis advanced project.



Evaluation:

The course can be completed by obtaining a credit (Zápočet).
