Annotation

Narratives – or stories - play an important role in the way actors think and decide about public policy. The Narrative Policy Framework (NPF) is a framework that offers a systematic approach to understanding the role of narratives in the policy process s. The NPF workshop is led by Dr. Caroline Schlaufer (University of Bern), an experienced NPF scholar, and Vilém Novotný (KVSP ISS UK FSV) and it take place on Monday, April 24, 2023 (THE DATE MIGHT CHANGE) 9.20-18.20.
The workshop is dedicated to all BA students who are interested in policy process research. It focuses on empirical applications of the NPF and allows students to formulate research designs and implement own empirical research.

Requirements to the exam

The credits will be granted after fulfilling following conditions (plagiarism and other misconducts against academic and/or good manners will prevent passing the course):
1) Active participation in discussion 25 %
2) Attendance (100 % - it is just a one day workshop)
3) Critical summaries of 3 texts (á 1-2 pages) 25 %
4) Elaboration of an assigned task and its presentation (cca 15 min.) 50 %
