In this course there are actual topics presented and discussed. The course deals e.g. with the reunification of Germany, energy policy, enlarging of the EU, Russian influence in Europe. The topics will be discused partly separately through the students presenations. The course will be taught in German laguage.

The goal of the course is to cover the issues of the development in the german speaking countries and in the central Europe in last two years.

Students should have an overview of the German, Austrian, Slovakian, Polish and Hungarian press. The press database Factiva can be very useful for this course.
