The lesson offers an analysis of the shaping French political ideas and political its contemporary history. Linked to this, its hightlights the principal social issues of French societies and questions the place of France in European recent history.

Each session is divided into two parts: a formal lecture, and a seminar type discussion animated by a student presentation.

Requirements:

Active participation (10%)

Students are required do read the mandatory texts for each class and be prepared to answer questions related to it in the class. Repeated failures to answer questions in class will lower student’s score.

Class Presentation & Paper based on the presentation (40%)

What will be expected:

15 mn presentation

Students will write a short paper about the chosen presentation's topic.  Minimum length: 6400 characters with spaces.

Due date for the paper: 5th of January, 2020. No late submissions accepted!

Final writing essay exam (50%) A-F grade's system

Final exam will cover topics from classes, mandatory readings as well as student presentations.

Nota Due to covid-19 epidemic context, the final exam might be passed in a distance form.
