Kurs se zabývá dějinami soudobého Řecka od vzniku moderního řeckého státu (1830) do současnosti. Reflektuje historický a politický vývoj, rozvoj hospodářství, kultury a zahraničních vztahů. Tematicky reflektuje nejdůležitější kapitoly moderní řecké historie.
