The course follows the Italian for social sciences I JLB 037 and is intended for students of all fields of study on the FSV UK. It builds on the level of Italian acquired in the previous semester and the content will be not only the repetition and acquisition of new knowledge of grammatical structures, but also the expansion of vocabulary for the needs of using the language in common communication situations.

During the course Italian II we will have these aims:

1) To speak and pronounce correctly

2) To fix the grammatical structures and to enrich personal vocabulary

3) To understand oral italian language

4) To write correctly and to understand written language

In the course we will work with authentic materials - we will make extensive use of Internet resources. We will also use the methods of cooperative teaching. But we will also focus on "non-interactive" work (reading excerpts from books and articles).

Conditions for obtaining the exam:

- Final oral exam: 50 points

- Short presentation of the chosen topic during the semester: 20 points

- timely submission of homework: 30 points (10x3b)

Rating: 0-50% = F 51-60% = E 61-70% = D 71-80% = C 81-90% = B 91% and more = A A - outstanding performance with only minor errors, B - above the average standard but with some errors, C - generally sound work with a number of notable errors, D - fair but with significant shortcomings, E - performance meets the minimum criteria, F - fail - considerable further work is required Sample test here in the files.
