The course is designed for BA and MA students. The objective of the course is to expand students´ vocabulary necessary for understanding academic texts related to the above mentioned disciplines.
Emphasis is also put on the revision of grammatical structures and the ability of students to express their ideas in cultivated German, both oral and written.

The course takes the form of a seminar. It focuses on the development of all language skills. The teacher chooses the texts together with the students and these texts are then used in the lessons as the base for discussions in which grammatical and lexical structures are practised.

Credit requirements:

1. end-of-term credit test (65% must be reached)
2. summary of news (500 words)

3. active participation (3 nonattandances are allowed)

The students who do not attend the seminars need to submit an essay (about 400 words) and need to take a credit test at the end of a semester.

Nevertheless, there would be also an entry test only on 2th October at 8.30, 9.30, 10.30, 11.30 h in C322. The students must reach B2- level. If you are not sure whether JLB 033 or JLB 013, try an online entrance test.
