Lectures are designed for Erasmus/visiting foreign students (students of regular Czech graduate programmes should enroll in the "Komiks jako médium" class in the summer semester)

Aim of the course

Goal:
Students will gain basic theoretical knowledge and reading experience necessary to analyze any type of comics. They will also gain detailed knowledge about history of Czech comics and development of comics journalism.

Requirements:
Active participation and discussion in classes is necessary for successful completion of the class.
There will be two final assignments: one short analytical essay on chosen comic book and creation of one practical example of sequential storytelling - a short comics.
