The fundamental discipline of Organic and Bioorganic Chemistry is extended to the chemistry of the biologically active compounds design. The attention is oriented to supramolecular chemistry. The mechanismus of activity of enzymes and mechanisms of the biological activity from view of organic chemistry and connection the molecular properties of compounds with the biological activity is also analyzed. The principles of mechanisms of some reactions occurring in organisms and the quantitative relationships between the chemical structure and biological activity (QSAR) are taught.

Základem předmětu Organická chemie a biologická aktivita je hlubší zaměření organické chemie na biologicky aktivní látky. Pozornost je soustředěna na supramolekulární chemii. Mechanismus účinku enzymů a mechanismus biologické aktivity je vykládán z pohledu organické chemie. Jsou vyučovány základy mechanismů některých reakcí probíhajících v organismech a kvantitativní vztahy mezi chemickou strukturou a biologickou aktivitou (QSAR).
