The aim of the course is to study the method of mass spectrometry both theoretically and practically. This includes the principles of ionization techniques, the basics of instrumentation in mass spectrometry with an emphasis on current developments, especially in the field of ionization techniques under atmospheric pressure and so-called "ambient" ionization techniques, development in the field of analyzers in mass spectrometry, coupling of mass spectrometry with separation techniques including liquid and gas chromatography and also capillary electrophoresis. Practical knowledge includes interpreting spectra and working with different types of MS records.
