Annotation -
The aim of the subject is focused on solving analytic problems by means of instrumental methods. Emphasis is placed on the optimal choice of method and procedure due to the nature of the sample, based on deep knowledge of the nature, possibilities and limitations of instrumental methods. In the field of chromatographic methods, it is mainly the deepening of knowledge in the field of instrumentation to HPLC, application of new types of stationary phases (sub-2mikron technology, core-shell technology, monolithic columns), new trends in liquid chromatography (UHPLC) spectrometry), charge aerosol detection, ELSD detection, and Sequential injection chromatography method, Further, the subject deals with validation of methods for analysis of biologically active substances using the latest trends. The chromatographic methods include HPLC, where the study focuses on the development of methods for analysis of selected analytes in biological material in cooperation with the Faculty Hospital in Hradec Králové. The modern technique used to characterize substances that students acquaint with in the subject is the UHPLC-HRMS (high-pressure liquid chromatography combined with high resolution mass spektrometry detection) method. Techniques of electrochemical detection - voltammetry, potentiometry, dissolution voltammetry with focus on trace concentrations of substances in biological materials.
