1. Basics of preventive dentistry and cariology. Prevention (primary, secondary, tertiary), prophylaxis. Dental plaque, material alba. Indexes: DMF, dmf, CPITN. Terminology used in the preventive dentistry and cariology.
2. Dental caries and its development. The role of saliva.Basic forms of the dental caries prevention (oral hygiene, nutrition /diet /, fluoride application, sealing of pits and fissures). Preventive fillings.
