Graduate of the subject acquires knowledge of anaesthesiology, intensive care, pain treatment and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (advanced life support). Acquired knowledge is fixed in practical training and verified with written test and oral exam.

Requirements to the exam

100% attendace on Practicals and Seminars is obligatory to get the credit. It is possible to substitute attendace with other group after consultation with assistant lecturer. It is possible to excuse absence just only in the case of sick leave ratified by physician. 

The course is finished by a written exam (MCQ test) with standardized grading and oral exam. Precondition for oral exam is successful passing the test. Minimum for successful passing is 66 % of points.

Pharmacology of anaesthetic agents and drugs used in anaesthesia

Technical preconditions for safe anaesthesia

Monitoring during anaesthesia

Airway management, intravenous access

Regional anaesthesia, pharmacology of local anaesthetics, complications

Strategy for management of anaesthesia, specialities of anaesthesia in acute medicine, postoperative care

Peri- and postoperative complications, prevention and treatment, allergic reaction

Shock, basics of therapy, priorities of polytrauma patient management, care of patient during transport
