The main task during the 5th year is to get the systematic knowledge of internal medicine in practical courses, led by associated professors and assistant professors. During a patient demonstration, the students are supposed not only to improve their skills in taking patient´s history and physical examination but also interpretation of clinical and laboratory findings and therapeutical assessment. The students are obliged to take part in patient´s admission and assist in some invasive procedures. The subject is completed by credit.

V 5. ročníku je výuka vnitřního lékařství věnována systematice vnitřního lékařství: v praktických cvičeních jsou asistenty a docenty formou stáží demonstrováni nemocní s typickými obrazy nemocí, rozebírána jejich anamnéza, fyzikální nálezy, laboratorní nálezy a výsledky pomocných vyšetření. V praktické části výuky se studenti zúčastní práce na oddělení a některých vybraných invazivních výkonů. Výuka předmětu je uzavřena zápočtem.

CLINICAL TRAINING
In clinical training held by associate professors and assistant professors , the demonstration of the patients focused on improving the skills in taking patient´s history, physical examination, interpretation of clinical and laboratory findings and therapy assessment. Bedside teaching: 6x5 lessons in all subspecialities of internal medicine (cardiology, nephrology, pneumology, diabetology and endocrinology, rheumatology, haematology and oncology). Students can take max. 5 clinical trainings in every subdiscipline.
The internship sites: 1st Dep.of Internal Medicine, 2nd Dep.of Internal Medicine, 3rd Dep.of Internal Medicine -Cardiology; Internal Clinic of Haematology FNKV, and with selected assistants and senior lecturers at "Na Homolce" Hospital in Prague 5, "Na Františku" Hospital in Prague 1, Thomayer Hospital in Prague 4, at IKEM Prague and Geriatric Center in Prague 8.
Clinical training: daily after 1.30 pm based on your selection. Duration: 90 minutes
Signing-up for bedside teaching will start on 17th September 2019.
Students can subscribe only for 1 clinical lesson weekly, i. e. the training in one subspeciality will take 5 weeks. ERASMUS students may individually apply at the Head of the Internal Medicine Teaching Division for the permition to visit 2 internal subspecialities a week, i.e. 2 clinical lessons in 2 subspecialities weekly.
It is strongly recommended to cover as many subspecialties as possible. Attendance forms: available from the secretary of Internal Medicine Teaching Division on 30th September 2019.
Other requirements for bedside teaching: clean white coat, stethoscope, indoor shoes depending on the instructions of a given hospital department. Students are strictly reminded not to attend bedside teaching if having respiratory or gastrointestinal infection.
Alternative dates for missed lessons may be arranged with teachers. In case of a more significant absence, talk to the Head of the Internal Medicine Teaching Division. Individual study plan and Erasmus students also contact the Head of the Teaching Division.
For the entire academic year, 6 absences at max. will be tolerated.

VÝUKA PROBÍHÁ VE FORMĚ KLINICKÝCH STÁŽÍ
Stáže jsou vedeny vybranými asistenty a docenty na klinickém oddělení s rozborem pacienta nebo stáže odborně zaměřené na některý podobor vnitřního lékařství s rozborem pacienta. 6x5 stáží z podoboru vnitřního lékařství (kardiologie, neurologie, pneumologie, diabetologie a endokrinologie, gastroenterologie, revmatologie, hematologie, onkologie a gerontologie). Stáže probíhají na 1. interní klinice, 2. interní klinice, 3. interní kardiologické klinice, Interní hematologické klinice a Radioterapeutické a onkologické kinice FNKV a v Nemocnici na Homolce v Praze 5, v Nemocnici Na Františku v Praze 1, v Thomayerově nemocnici v Praze 4, v IKEMu v Praze 4 a v Gerontologickém centru na Praze 8. Stáže se budou konat denně podle výběru a to vždy po 13,30hod. Doba trvání stáže: 2 vyučovací hodiny ( 90 min.) Stáže z jednotlivých podoborů VL blok1:1 - 5. týden, blok 2:6. - 10. týden, blok 3:11. - 15 týden.
Zapisování do těchto stáží začne 17.9. 2019.
Je vyžadováno vystřídat různé podobory vnitřního lékařství. Formuláře o absolvování výuky lze vyzvednout 30. září 2019 v sekretariátu KIO.
Student se může přihlásit maximálně na 1 interní stáž týdně a v jednom intermím podoboru bude tudíž stážovat 5 týdnů. Studenti, kteří odjíždí na zahraniční stáž v rámci programu ERASMUS, mohou po předchozí individuální domluvě s garantem oboru Vnitřní lékařství navštěvovat 2 interní podobory týdně, tzn. 2 stáže ve 2 podoborech za týden.
Základní podmínkou stáže je bílý plášť, fonendoskop, jmenovka, přezůvky a očkování proti hepatitis B.
Studenti jsou důrazně žádáni se nezúčastnit stáže v případě, že budou mít příznaky respirační či gastrointestinální infekce. Náhrada stáže je možná po domluvě s vyučujícími. Náhradní program při větší absenci nutno řešit s vedoucím KIO. Individuální studijní plán a program Erasmus se řeší s vedoucím KIO. Pro studenty odjíždějící v V. ročníku ke studiu na zahraniční univerzity platí pravidlo, že by měli absolvovat 30 výukových jednotek.
Za celý akademický rok bude tolerováno maximálně 6 absencí.

CREDIT
The subject internal medicine I is completed by credit.
Credit will be given after completion of all bedside training lessons upon delivering the attendance sheet to the box of the secretary of the Second Department of Internal Medicine (before make a copy). Confirmation of attendance must be always registered in the internal medicine 5th year. sheet - teacher‘s signature and label.

ZÁPOČET
Výuka předmětu Vnitřní lékařství I bude uzavřena zápočtem.
Zápočet bude udělen po skončení všech stáží za oba semestry po odevzdání výkazu prezence do schránky sekretariátu Katedry interních oborů (předtím si udělejte kopii). Potvrzení o účasti na jednotlivých formách výuky bude zaznamenáváno do archu vnitřního lékařství 5.r. s podpisem a jmenovkou učitele. Záznam bude proveden po každé stáži.
