Annotation -
Pathology includes knowledge of pathological anatomy, which studies the diseases from the point of view of morphological changes of appearance, shape and histology of the diseased organs and tissues. Pathological physiology considers changes in functions of organs and tissues.

Aim of the course -

The aim of pathological anatomy and physiology is to make the students understand the underlying processes of diseases to be able better explain and even predict clinical manifestations, understand appropriate therapies and anticipate potential complications.

Zápočet a zkouška:
Zápočet z patologické anatomie student získá po napsání zápočtového testu.

Zápočet z patologické fyziologie se uděluje
a) studentům, kteří splnili průměrové kriterium (cca 2) z testů, které se píší průběžně v jednotlivých seminářích
b) studentům, kteří nesplnili průměrové kriterium za napsání zápočtového testu MCQ (30 otázek, kriterium je 65% správných odpovědí)

c) studentům, kteří mají více než 20% absencí, po zpracování zadaného tématu  (tři stránky) a napsání zápočtového testu



Zkouška je ústní, zkouší komise složená z patologa a patologického fyziologa.

I. Disease, death. Regressive and metabolic changes.
II. Inflammation.
III. Oncopathology.
IV. General findings of heart insuficiency
V. Reasons of cardiovascular failure.
VI. Pathology of respiratory system
VII. Pathology of gastrointestinal system
VIII. Pathology of kidneys and urinary system
IX. Pathology of female genitals. Pathology of mammary glands.
X. Pathology of male genitals.



Pathological physiology:

 

  1. The significance of pathological physiology. Health, disease, pathogenesis. Inflammation, stress.
  2. Pathophysiology of water metabolism, edemas.
  3. Importance of ions, acid base balance and their disturbances.
  4. Disturbances of the metabolism of nutrients, obesity, starvation.
  5. Pathophysiology of the cardiovascular system.
  6. Pathophysiology of the respiratory system
  7. Pathophysiology of the gastrointestinal tract.
  8. Pathophysiology of kidneys, renal syndromes, kidney failure.
  9. Pathophysiology of the endocrine system.
  10. Disturbances of the nervous system.
  11. Test
