Main adverse effects of environmental toxins and genotoxins, toxocokinetic and toxicodynamics. Interactions of chemical compounds. Hygienic problems of water. Hygienic requirements on drinking water and bathing water. Production of drinking water, potential health risks, monitoring. Air pollution and health. Indoor pollution. Sources of air pollution, health risk based on epidemiologic studies, indicators of air pollution. Specificity of indor pollution. Smoking. Health risks from active and passive smoking. Epidemiology of smoking habits in CR and all over the world. Protection against passive smoking and prevention of smoking in children and adolescents. Fysical factors in general environment. Health risk of noise, vibrations, electromagnetic, UV and solar radiation. Preventive measures. Health risk assessment Epidemiology of intestinal diseases: Basic epidemiologic characteristics, methods of control, most important types of intestinal diseases according infectious agent (salmonellosis, shigellosis campylobacteriosis etc.). Methods of control. Epidemiology of neuroinfections: Most important etiologic agents of these types diseases, trends and prevention. Epidemiology of respiratory diseases: Epidemiologic characteristics of ARI (acute respiratory infections) including influenza, social nad health seriousness, distribution in Czech republic and all over the world, bird flu, swine flu. Methods of control. Epidemiology of geographic distribution of diseases: Basic characteristics, types of infections, etiological agents, reservoir, vector, biotop. Examples of geografic distribution of diseases. Incidence in CR and all over the world, primary prevention. Methods of control. Epidemiology of HIV/AIDS: History, definition, epidemiologic characteristics of HIV/AIDS, epidemiologic situation in CR and all over the world, trends and perspectives of HIV/AIDS and others serious STI (sexually transmited diseases). Preventive measures. Viral hepatitis: Basic characteristics of infectious agents of viral hepatitis A, B, C,, D, E. Changes in distribution of VHA, VHB, VHC. Principles of primary prevention of VHA and VHB, legislative regulations.Trends of distribution of viral hepatitis in CR and all over the world. Methods of control. Active and passive immunization: Principles of active and passive immunization, types of vaccines according preparation, contraindications of vaccination, adverse reactions,legislative rules. vaccination schedule in CR (routine vac., speciál vac., emergency vac., vaccination in injueries, vaccination on request)
