Annotation -
The course introduces the students to advanced research methodology used in the addiction field. It provides the students with necessary knowledge and skills to design their own doctoral project and their own future research projects, but also to make them oriented in the methodology of research of other leading authors. The course should equip the students with the basic competencies of a researcher in addiction science and acquaint them with specific procedures, tools and methods used in the research of substance related problems, behavioral addictions, implementation science and translational research.

Requirements for the successful competition 

Attendance to direct lectures, activity in e-learning, including readings and self-assessment, elaboration of the study protocol of the doctoral project, timely submission of all assignments. 

 

Time requirements:

The course is based on the blended learning method which is a combination of e-learning, self-study and in-person teaching.

Time requirements for the study of Research Designs and Methods in Addiction Science course are as follows:

  • 2 x 4 hours of face-to-face teaching (one prior and one after the online learning content)
  • 32 hours of online learning (including self-learning)
