Annotation

The course provides the theoretical foundations of contemporary periodontology and prepares students for subsequent clinical training. It covers periodontal biology, the etiology and pathogenesis of periodontal diseases, diagnosis, classification, and the principles of treatment planning. The course follows the sequential approach to the treatment of periodontitis in accordance with the current recommendations of the European Federation of Periodontology (EFP). The practical component focuses on training in periodontal examination, the use of periodontal instruments, and basic instrumentation techniques.
