Annotation

In the subject "Updates in immunology" we will discuss topics which were not mentioned in lectures of Basic immunology. We will focus on less known and recently discovered cell subpopulations and their role in health and disease. Moreover, we will talk about graundbraking discoveries not included in modern immunology texbooks.

Course completion requirements

Updates in immunology belongs to subjects evaluated by credits. To pass the subject successfully, students must pass the exam, attendance in practical part is mandatory (ideally, more than 75%, credit will be obtained for pratical part). Otherwise, students have to pass the test or arrange another practical course.

Teaching methods

Generally, Updates in immunology is planned to be thougth in 20 individual lectures scheduled according to the lecture room availability, preference of majority of students. Partical part could be considered (e.g. analyses of cell subpopulations using flow cytometry). The first lecture has been scheduled to Thursday March 6 at 2 pm at Seminary room of Institute of Medical Microbiology (formerly Institute of Immunology and Microbiology). During the first lecture we will identify the best term for other lectures and practical parts.
