In the year 2023-2024 the subject will take place in presence form (in-person lectures and seminars) as well as  field visits and online seminars. 

Prerequisite for the completion of the course: active participation in seminars and lectures, completion of all tasks for the course topics during the semester according to the course Moodle and the seminar work (presentation). Syllabus - Czech

Current questions of influence of migration as a demographic process as well as an impact of culture, ethnicity and race on health in global scale. Types of migration and its' impact on health. Access of migrants and ethnic minorities to health care in the Czech Republic and other EU countries. Migration, ethnicity and communicable and non-communicable diseases. WHO strategies in refugee and migrant health. Cultural sensitivity in health care. 

Within the course we'll meet representatives of Czech migrants assisting NGOs.
