The aim of this course is to familiarize the students with the field of neuropsychology. This field and its place in healthcare will be presented to the students along with the expertise of a psychologist/clinical psychologist/neuropsychologist including the possibility of cooperation with other team members. The course will be focused on the specifics of stroke and traumatic brain injury. Other discussed topics will be the mild cognitive impairment and dementia - its recognition and how to take care of clients with this type of disease. The students will also be informed about the psychopathology of Huntington's and Parkinson's disease, which they may encounter in their profession. In order to acquire basic knowledge of how drugs affecting the mental activity of a person, the course will end with a lecture on psychopharmacology. The exact concept of the lectures can be adjusted according to the actual demands of the students.

Tento předmět si klade za cíl posluchače seznámit s vybranou problematikou v oblasti neuropsychologie. Studentům bude informativně představen obor a jeho koncepce v resortu zdravotnictví, nastíněna odbornost psychologa/klinického psychologa/neuropsychologa vč. možnosti spolupráce s jinými odbornostmi. Pozornost bude zaměřena na specifika v oblasti cévní mozkové příhody a traumatického poranění mozku. Dále bude probráno téma mírné kognitivní poruchy a demence - jejich rozpoznání a péče o klienty s tímto druhem onemocnění. Studenti budou seznámeni také s psychopatologií Huntingtonovy a Parkinsonovy choroby, se kterými se mohou setkat během své praxe. Předmět bude uzavřen kapitolou o psychofarmakologii s cílem získání základní orientace v lécích ovlivňujících duševní činnost člověka. Přesná koncepce přednášek může být upravena dle aktuálních požadavků studentů.
