The Doctoral Seminar is held regularly in each academic year. In the 1st year of study only passive participation is required, from the 2nd year of study active participation is required, which includes a presentation of the progress of the dissertation followed by discussion and comments. Students can also present first versions of papers for conferences, discuss first versions of articles prepared in the framework of Professional Activities.
The student will be credited for regular attendance at the seminar (max. three absences), presentation of the results of their own work and critical discussion of others' presentations (i.e. active participation). In the case of an internship abroad, the student is excused from participation, but is not excused from the obligation to make his/her own presentation.
The Doctoral Seminar requirement will be automatically recorded for the student's ISP in each year of study.
The seminar is conducted in situ. Combined degree (distance programme) students and students on long-term study abroad may request online access. Students in a difficult life situation may also apply for online access. (In case of pandemic measures, the operation of the seminar is of course subject to current regulations).

Doktorandský seminář se koná pravidelně v každém akademickém roce. V 1. roce studia je vyžadována jen pasivní účast, od 2. roku studia účast aktivní, která zahrnuje prezentaci postupu práce na disertaci následovanou diskusí a připomínkami. Studenti mohou také prezentovat první verze příspěvků pro české nebo zahraniční konference, diskutovat první verze článků připravovaných v rámci Odborných aktivit, sdílet zkušenosti ze studijních cest, konferencí či jiných akademických událostí.
Splnění Doktorandského semináře bude studentovi započteno za pravidelnou účast na semináři (max. tři absence), prezentaci výsledků vlastní práce a kritickou diskusi prezentací druhých (tj. aktivní účast). V případě výjezdu na stáž je student omluven z účasti, není však zbaven povinnosti vlastní prezentace.
Povinnost Doktorandský seminář bude studentovi automaticky zapisována v každém roce studia.
Seminář probíhá prezenčně. O možnost online přístupu mohou požádat studenti kombinovaného studia a studenti na dlouhodobém zahraničním pobytu. O možnost online účasti mohou požádat také studenti v obtížné životní situaci. (v případě pandemických opatření se provoz semináře samozřejmě řídí aktuálními předpisy)

In the 1st year of study, only passive participation is required, from the 2nd year onwards, presentation of the first version of the thesis for the state exame or part of the PhD thesis, or preliminary presentation of papers for conferences or discussion of the first version of the first version of articles prepared within the framework of the Professional Activities. The attestation is conditional on active participation and a maximum of three absences.

V 1. roce studia je vyžadována jen pasivní účast, od 2. roku prezentace první verze tezí k SZZK nebo části doktorské práce, případně též předběžná prezentace příspěvků pro české nebo zahraniční konference či diskuse první verze první verze článků připravovaných v rámci Odborných aktivit. Udělení atestace je podmíněno aktivní účastí a max. třemi absencemi.
