Annotation -
The course is planned for the first year of doctoral studies. It serves for reporting the work of students on the dissertation project and possibly for presenting the students' scientific activities, while ensuring regular contact between doctoral students and with supervisors. In the seminar, students present the results of their work on the dissertation, or on publication outputs, and in the subsequent discussion with other doctoral students they hone their argumentation skills. The PhD student presents at each meeting; the extent of the presentation depends on agreement with the supervisor.
Some presentations are related to academic duties such as the Annotated Dissertation Research, others may function as preparation for a presentation at a scientific conference. Students also provide critical feedback and actively participate in discussions.

Course completion requirements -

A minimum attendance of 75% is required for a pass. Students regularly present their work to other doctoral students at the seminar. These presentations must be specific, logically constructed, and free of empty platitudes. At the same time, active participation in constructive critical discussions on the content of the other PhD students' presentations is required. The validity of the doctoral student's participation is judged by the supervisors present.
