Annotation -
The course assumes that the students have a command of Danish at approximately B2 level.
The course aims to raise the students' level in spoken and written Danish and in relation to theoretical understanding of the Danish language, culture and society.

This course has three specific focus points:
1) Danish orthography; orthography reforms, special writing, etc.
2) Danish dialects; development in dialects, provins vs. capitol, provinsial culture, etc.
3) Denmark's relationship with the North Atlantic and the Commonwealth (Iceland, the Faroe Islands and Greenland). We will look at this both literary, historical and political - as well as in light of the current situation regarding Greenland.

The course is based on active participation and the students can contribute to the choice of material and activities, based, for example, on their thesis or internship work.
