We will open up a broader view of the manager, or the managerial roles he/she has to play (informational, decision-making, interpersonal). Where the interpersonal role (and the use of psychology in this area) will be discussed in more detail. We will recall that the clinical perspective and the occupational psychological perspective can sometimes be very similar. For at the core is always the person and the concern for them, for their needs. Another key area will be the creation and management of a non-conflicting team (through the High Perfoming Team methodology). Related to this is the topic of motivation and evaluation. We will also look in more detail at the topic of managing and implementing change. One whole lecture will be dedicated to the topic of diversity from different perspectives, including LGBT+ issues in the workplace. Last but not least, we will also look at the manager as a person who is under psychological stress and needs to take proper care of his/her psyche.
