Annotation -
The course teaches how to work with literature and how to express oneself professionally. In the course, students work on a larger written paper that presents their professional opinion on a selected topic from a broader range of topics (e.g., cognitive psychology, social psychology, developmental psychology, clinical psychology). The course includes attention to a work plan and its ongoing implementation. The course will take the form of seminars and independent written work that is discussed in seminars.

Acquired knowledge: the student is familiar with available scientific resources, knows the main strategies of searching in databases, understands the structure of scientific studies, knows the specifics of APA format

Acquired skills: the student can search for professional machines relevant to the research topic (using electronic resources and databases of psychological literature), can select and evaluate the main benefits of the sources found, can clearly communicate the results of professional research, can argue and support his/her own opinion with professional arguments, can plan his/her work, can format a professional text according to APA format

Course content: research and literature search. Searching for a topic. Structure of a research paper. Argumentation. APA format.

Submit a term paper on a topic chosen from a wider range of topics. Timely submission of working versions of the thesis during the semester.
