Annotation -
The seminar introduces transcription from the viewpoint of theoretical issues of the relationship of sound units and their
graphical recording, and provides practical experience with the application of transcription in various types of spoken
material. Special emphasis is given to the international transcription system of the IPA, along with the system of Czech
phonetic transcription. The focus is on the segmental area. Knowledge is systematically applied in practical exercises.
