Annotation -
The course is an introduction to the study of pedagogy. It includes an introduction to the different conceptions of pedagogical science in the context of the dual methodology playing a role in establishing the scientific profile of pedagogy. It also introduces the forms of discourses within which these conceptions have been established. It introduces students to the basic pedagogical terminology and structure of the discipline, and familiarizes them with current forms of pedagogical discourse and educational theory and practice, as well as influential pedagogical movements and figures of the 20th century.
1. “Prehistory of Pedagogy” and the establishment of pedagogy as a science. Personalities who founded pedagogy in our country and in the world.
2. The structure of pedagogy. Pedagogical disciplines. Relationship of pedagogy to philosophy and human sciences.
3. Pedagogy and the sciences of education. Pedagogy as a science, as an art and as a practical philosophy. Pedagogy as a transdisciplinary field.
4. Typology of pedagogical discourses.
5. Pedagogical trends and theories. Personalities of Czech and world pedagogy.
