Etnografie Střední Asie je přehledový předmět, v němž studenti získají základní informace o zemích bývalé sovětské Střední Asie (Kazachstán, Kyrgyzstán, Uzbekistán, Turkmenistán, Tádžikistán). V přednáškách se budeme postupně věnovat hlavním historickým mezníkům a současné politicko - administrativní situaci v regionu obecně a v jednotlivých státech, dále základních charakteristikám v oblasti kultury a náboženství a nejdůležitějším problémům identity.

Ethnography of Central Asia is an overview course in which students gain basic information about the countries of the former Soviet Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan). In the lectures we will gradually focus on the main historical milestones and the current political - administrative situation in the region in general and in individual states, as well as the basic characteristics of culture and religion and the most important problems of identity.
