Annotation -
The seminar is designed for students of linguistics who want to learn how to obtain syntactic information from corpora. It is recommended as a follow-up seminar after completing another corpus seminar, eg. Czech and Corpus, or for students who already have their own experience working with the corpus manager KonText (ideally including the CQL query language). At the end of this seminar, students will be able to use syntactically annotated corpora of Czech (and partly also other languages) for their own linguistic work. They will learn to work with syntactic annotation in the KonText corpus manager and get familiarised with other tools for working with syntactically annotated corpora. The course is taught in Czech and therefore requires sufficient proficiency in order to attend.
