The course explores the history of the Cold War from the perspective of major approaches and interpretations in the Cold War studies. Through weekly classes, the course examines the specific problems from the origins of the Cold War until the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991 with the focus on different historiographical interpretations and methodologies, including transnational approaches and cultural histories. The goal is to provide different viewpoint on the Cold War History including Easter European and Global South perspective. The course is based on series of lectures, discussions and readings. The texts will be available in Student Information System (SIS).
